How did Porta Lota come to be?

Welcome to Porta Lota, where our mission is to keep you feeling fresh, clean, and confident no matter where life takes you. Our story started during a trip in 2018, when we faced the same challenge that many of you have encountered - how to properly clean ourselves on the go after using the bathroom. We tried everything from cups to water bottles, but none of them left us feeling satisfied.

Like you, we realized that the large lotas we use at home simply wouldn't fit in our luggage. That's when our lightbulb moment struck, and Porta Lota was born - a portable lota/bidet that we could take with us wherever we go! After some trial and error, we found the perfect solution in perineal bottles.

While peri-bottles were originally used for after-birth care for new mothers, we saw the potential to repurpose them as a convenient bidet for anyone on the go. We spoke to a lot of people, discussed the idea, and in September of 2022, Porta Lota was born! We worked tirelessly to find an eco-friendly supplier who shares our values, designed the bottles and boxes, and launched Porta Lota with a well-thought-out marketing plan.
